The Break of Dawn

Have you ever just wanted to experience a true and calming experience? Sometimes you can do something as simple as take an early morning walk just before day. This time of year brings an air of calm, cool, and collective feelings.  A sense of peace and wanting what is best for you and yours. What I chose to do this morning, as I woke up around 5 am. No particular reason, it is just that God said, "It's time to rise and shine." Even though it was still dark outside and we tend to associate darkness with sleeping and resting, I got out of my bed anyway. I read in a book that I was given by a very special lady, that sometimes just sitting outside and watching the breaking of a new day can do immense wonders for the soul. Not only is it quiet because everyone is still sleeping, but it gives you a chance to reflect on the things that are stirring in your soul. Dig deep and meditate and pray. You don't have to sit Indian style with your hands together and eyes closed to communicate with your Maker. Just find somewhere and sit still. Let the thoughts go through your mind all while reflecting on how you will make the day ahead one of peace and joy. Think of the things that make you happy and focus on doing those things because He will have it no other way.

Just the other day, I sat down and wrote out the things that were bothering "Tasha". On that list I had everything that I could possibly think of and I am sure there is more. But what I did discover was that with some adjustment in my way of thinking and an understanding of what it means to have what I need, then I found that the things that I have, though they may be very few, are the things that are meant for me to have at this moment. Everything else will come in due time. Each one of my "wrongs" has an easy fix. That fix is "pray about everything". If you see where you have no "me-time", create me-time. If it is a job that you have to live check to check, save money. Problems with family, pray. Lack of sleep, rest. And remember that sometimes "it's okay" to let go.

The break of dawn symbolizes a new day, a new start, a new chance, to become a new and better you. Seek the experience. I know I will.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!

A New Day...A New Me!!!!

Everyone needs a break every now and then. The thing is people tend to think one must have plenty of money and go far away to have a good time. The truth is there is more to do and several places to go that do not require the resource of a millionaire. All it takes is getting out of the house, hitting the road, and arriving at a destination. Check out your area or one within 30-50 miles and see what is happening. If you do nothing but check into a hotel for an evening, go to a restaurant, go bowling, or play a game of pool, get out of the house. It is not only good for your mind but it is good for your spirit. What is holding you back? I make it a personal vendetta to go and do something fun as often as I can. This past weekend I went out of town for another mini-"stay"cation and I feel good. I imagine that if I take one of those "stay"cations often enough then my stress levels will surely stay at a minimum. I am sure yours will too! Until next time: Be Breezy!!
